Enphase since Irmaria.

September of 2017, CAT5 hurricanes Irma then Maria devastated my home on Saint John and the homes and special places of beautiful people, plants, and animals across the Caribbean Community. My home was without Utility power for 92 days. My landlord had a large generator shipped and installed. That generator was not useable because its manufacturer wanted a licensed dealer code entered into the controls before it would operate. No such person was available within those 92 catastrophic days. I worked for a solar company even then which imported competing batteries. Those batteries were inoperable until the providing company flew down technicians to bypass a similar stumbling block. The many survivors of Irmaria and their loved ones will never forget the difficulty of accessing the islands around that time.

I vowed to do my best to never be hostage to a company that put profit ahead of emergency services.

Enphase is a modular system which I can take apart and put back together like a watch if ever needed. When one Enphase installer retires, the warranty does not expire, you are taken care of through the Enphase Installer Network. Enphase operates with a superiority that can be simplified to “new Christmas lights, versus old Christmas lights”. Enphase will keep going if one component needs serviced. It is resilient, reliable, and accessible with customer support worldwide 24/7 and wait times under 5 minutes for call support with a human being and Enphase professional standing by.

100 days after Irmaria, I was washing dishes with warm water when I was struck with the truth:

It is called hurricane season for a reason.

Hurricanes will happen again. I stand with Enphase to be prepared, and they stand with Boats and Homes.
